JSON and WiFi are two robot brothers who want to be nerdy just like their mother. In January of 2014, Lisa Seacat DeLuca ran a successfully funded Kickstarter campaign to produce her board book, a robot story, and animated eBook. The book teaches kids how to count to ten in binary.
The book uses different types of switches to represent the 1’s and 0’s of binary, the code used by computers to store and process information. In the ebook version, our little readers can interact with the switches to see how different binary inputs generate a numerical output.
While they learn to count to ten in binary, they will also enjoy traditional kiddie things, like bright colors and animated characters and backdrops.
Lisa Seacat DeLuca is a mother of twins and a software engineer at IBM.
